Join us at Fort Missoula, T-1 Building (next to Heritage Hall) 11 am -3 pm.
This months Program will turn our attention towards the MAWS26 Conference.
Hello weavers and spinners,
Happy Fall! It has been an exceptional season. I am hoping everyone has taken inspiration and are busily creating. You are all so talented!
I would like to invite you all to the next Missoula Weavers Guild meeting on Nov 15th. at Fort Missoula T-1 building social hour starts at 11:00. During social hour Bonnie will be doing a follow up with the woven words wraps we completed last meeting. She will also enlighten us on another way to pick colors for weaving.
The program this month will be given by Jackie Boshka. She will share some of her vast knowledge on William Bateman. A fellow traveler in fiber arts who has left part of his legacy to the University of Montana. We will have an opportunity to find out about the man behind the samples. I can’t wait to see this presentation.
Please bring some of your creations to share with us at show and tell.
Until we meet continue to create,
Karen
The Bateman Committee will introduce you to the historic collection housed at the Montana Museum of Art & Culture on the University Campus, the progress with photo archiving and the June Bateman Exhibit that will feature during the MAWS26 Conference.
